The new season is just around the corner, so it would be the right time to learn how to master it. On-the-pitch gameplay was tweaked and new methods for defending and attacking will give you the advantage versus opponents who still didn’t get an update on their tactics.
1. Master Career Mode has a new development
EA has finally developed the system from the past few entries and there are no longer any restrictions to training five youth players at once. This time, youth development is dependent upon the player form and growth plan that you choose. The best way to improve here is to give the youth minutes in the games (even if that means subbing them in 70th minute).
You can also choose a correct plan for every player to expedite their development. The training system is gone – in its place come the growth plans and specialties. Choose the correct plan to improve the position and style of play for a young player.
2. Make superstars out of your players
For the first time, players can upgrade their weak foot by using the method which is outlined above. In theory, it will open up a door and create a perfect 5:5 player who can make terror in the defense with the flurry of moves then cutting from the wing to take a shot on their weaker foot. Defenders don’t have to sacrifice tackling traits in order to get a skill move bonus – which will never be used. However, wingers could definitely benefit from new skills in their arsenal and a stronger weak foot.
3. Complete all training drills
FIFA 21 comes with a new training system which might keep you busy even when there is no match day. You can train, rest or recover but in general, it is a good idea to rest on the day before the match and to recover the day after. You can even take more days off, depending on your team’s fitness.
On training days, there will be three groups and each will run their own drill. To save you some frustration – you need to manually complete the drills before starting the simulation. The simulated grade will automatically match the highest rating you received while playing the mini-games on your own – so that’s why you should complete it. If you don’t, that group of players will fail when you simulate.
